Wings for Life World Run 2025

By now, the Wings for Life run for people who can’t run themselves is now a firm date in our annual calendar. Post-corona, there are also pack runs in many locations in addition to the app runs, but as chance would have it, we were in Cornwall on 4 May 2025. There was no joint run there – but one of the most beautiful running and cycling routes ever for me: the Camel Trail near Bodmin.

Did it. Wings for Life run 2025 on the Camel Trail

The weather was ideal and the run was simply beautiful. I achieved the goal I had set myself and with all the other 310,717 people who took part, we ended up running 2,639,348.18 Kilometres! But the best thing is that we raised an incredible 8.6 million Euros! The whole 100% of this sum will go to spinal cord research to find a cure for these injuries. That makes you a little bit proud. Next year’s run will take place on 10 May. Take part!

Running for those who can’t: my fourth Wings for Life charity run

On 5 May, I took part in the Wings for Life charity run (the app version) for the fourth time, and it was another unforgettable experience. The thought of thousands of runners around the world joining together for a good cause and running at the same time is remarkable. From the start to the moment the chaser car catches up with you (you can read about this on the Wings for Life website), you can feel the energy and enthusiasm for this event. And the cheers from the virtual coaches are funny and helpful – a real incentive.
