In recent years, in addition to the people that truly interest me, I’ve seen a lot of text, images, and videos that have been pushed on me via (anti-)social media. Superfluous, annoying, and completely irrelevant to my here and now.

Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp – I’ve had enough of these platforms and am completely quitting the Meta universe. Not forgetting Pinterest. Too much noise, too many distractions, too much control in the wrong place.

I’m still available, just not through data collectors. For now, I’ll stick with Signal and definitely with good old SMS/MMS, and as an Apple user, with “Messages”.

The best way to reach me is by email, and if you want an immediate response, then a good old-fashioned phone call is the best choice: direct, in real time, and above all, personal. By the way, letters and postcards still work, too.
